REKRILL® NUT
What strength is hidden in a shell? REKRILL® Nut is a bio-based composite material developed by Krill Design that transforms residues from nut processing, such as shells, into a functional material for packaging and design applications. Instead of extracting new resources, REKRILL® Nut combines shell-derived components recovered after industrial processing with proprietary bio-based polymer bases. This approach extends the value of materials already available and embeds circularity directly into the structure of the material. Development and production take place entirely in Italy. REKRILL® Nut is 100% bio-based, compostable and recyclable. Its modular formulation allows technical performance to be adapted to different application needs, while the nut shell component contributes to both performance and material identity. The material is compatible with existing manufacturing technologies and can be processed on standard production lines without modifications. REKRILL® Nut features natural, textured finishes and offers broad freedom in color development, supporting products designed within a scalable circular model.

REKRILL® ORANGE
What else can an orange become? REKRILL® Orange is a bio-based composite material developed by Krill Design that transforms residues from orange processing into a new, functional material for packaging and design applications. Instead of using fresh raw resources, REKRILL® Orange is created by combining orange-derived components recovered from industrial production with proprietary bio-based polymer bases. This approach extends the life of natural materials and embeds circularity directly into the structure of the material. The entire development and production process is carried out in Italy, ensuring traceability, quality control and industrial reliability. REKRILL® Orange is 100% bio-based, compostable and recyclable. Its formulation is modular, allowing different bio-based polymer bases to be selected according to technical needs, while the orange component contributes to both performance and material identity. The material is fully compatible with existing manufacturing technologies, including injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming, and can be processed on standard production lines without modifications. REKRILL® Orange features natural, tactile finishes that reflect its origin and give products a warm, authentic appearance. At the same time, it offers broad freedom in color development, with virtually no limits, while maintaining a coherent, material-driven aesthetic. By giving new value to existing materials and reducing reliance on fossil-based plastics, REKRILL® Orange helps shape products with a lighter environmental footprint within a scalable circular model.

REKRILL® TurnBar – Biosourced rods for turning applications
Among the innovations presented at the fair, Krill Design introduces REKRILL® TurnBar, a new generation of biosourced rods specifically engineered for turning processes, representing a significant innovation within the market. The currently available formulation features 80% bio-based content, combining bioresin with recycled vegetal fibers, and has been developed to ensure material homogeneity, dimensional stability and controlled behavior during machining. These characteristics make the material fully compatible with conventional turning equipment, without requiring changes to existing production processes. REKRILL® TurnBar has already been successfully used to manufacture turned caps, demonstrating its suitability for high-quality and high-value packaging applications where surface finish, precision and repeatability are key. In addition to the current formulation, three new variants are coming soon: – two REKRILL® 100% formulations, differentiated by stiffness to address different technical requirements; – one 60% bio-based formulation, incorporating 15% vegetal fibers and recycled acetate, a material traditionally difficult to recycle, now re-engineered into a functional and processable solution. REKRILL® TurnBar expands the application potential of biosourced and circular materials into precision machining, bridging sustainability and industrial performance.

REKRILL® WINE
Can the story of wine go beyond the bottle? REKRILL® Wine is a bio-based composite material developed by Krill Design that transforms residues generated during wine production into a functional material for packaging and design applications. By combining grape-derived components recovered after vinification with proprietary bio-based polymer bases, REKRILL® Wine extends the value of existing materials and embeds circularity directly into the structure of the material. The entire development and production process is carried out in Italy. REKRILL® Wine is 100% bio-based, compostable and recyclable. Its modular formulation allows polymer bases to be selected according to technical requirements, while the grape component contributes to both performance and material identity. The material is fully compatible with existing manufacturing technologies and can be processed on standard production lines. REKRILL® Wine features deep, natural finishes and offers broad freedom in color development, supporting products designed within a scalable circular model.

Remake

Remake
Leather residues are the ingredients that make this paper unique. Its surprising soft and velvety tactile effect is given by these by-products which can replace up to 25% of cellulose from trees! And the other ingredients? 40% post-consumer recycled fibre and cellulose from well managed forests. We produce Remake with renewable energy and we offset unavoidable emissions. Remake is FSC™ certified, recyclable and biodegradable! Favini won at the European Paper Recycling Awards 2017 for Remake. Favini received the award at the European Parliament in Brussels. The award winning paper Remake, created by an upcycling process, confirms itself at the top of luxury packaging as shown by the choices of Louis Vuitton, Benetton and Vivienne Westwood.
