Micro-engraving
Micro-engraving is a finishing technique used on self-adhesive labels that consists of creating extremely fine and detailed engravings on the surface of the material. This process makes it possible to produce micro-patterns, decorative textures, or very small graphic elements, often visible only at close range or perceptible through particular light effects.
The process is carried out using engraved dies produced with high-precision technologies, which transfer onto the label substrate a pattern made up of very fine lines, dots, or geometric motifs.
The result is a refined and dynamic visual effect: micro-engravings create plays of light, depth, and movement, enhancing certain areas of the graphic design without necessarily adding color or thickness. This technique is particularly effective when applied to metal foils, where the reflection of light further enhances the engraved pattern.
