Debossing
Debossing is a finishing technique used on self-adhesive labels that creates an engraved effect pressed into the material. Through the pressure exerted by a die (matrix) on the label substrate, part of the graphic design is impressed into the surface, producing a recessed relief that can be perceived both visually and by touch.
Unlike traditional printing, debossing does not use inks, but instead acts directly on the structure of the material. The result is an elegant and subtle mark that adds depth and aesthetic value to the label.
