      Imitation leather

      Thermosensitive imitation leather not only impresses with its silky-soft feel, but also conveys a certain three-dimensionality. A real eye-catcher on the shelf that encourages you to touch it. The details of the text are created by deep embossing using a heated embossing tool. The heat causes the imitation leather to change colour to a darker shade. Depending on the material quality selected, imitation leather or recycled leather can also be printed on and, in some cases, embossed in the traditional way.

In isolated cases, we have also produced small quantities of genuine leather-based labelling items at the special request of customers. Very high costs, a lot of waste and, last but not least, the rather difficult decoration of genuine leather surfaces are factors that tend to speak against genuine leather. The trend is towards replacing genuine leather with other materials.

      IMPLUVIA - SPECIAL BOTTOM AND LID BOX

      It is our wonderful Impluvia project, selected in the previous Avant-Garde edition of Packaging Première Milan for innovative design. A unique coated cardboard packaging as strong as a hard box but with the dynamism of a collapsible package, capable of interpreting new shapes and lines. Impluvia uses asymmetrical line plays that do not yet exist in its fixed-opening or bilateral-opening and display-function variants, it is an excellent solution for multiproduct and those who wish to express innovation in packaging.

      For this project aimed at the Asian market, the graphic designer Mario Di Paolo has designed a one-of-a-kind wine bottle. East meets West in a cultural exchange that redefines style through the choice of a legendary and sacred symbol: the carp. In a play of solids and voids, a three-dimensional carp, specially crafted in copper, follows the shape of the Tao, alternating with a twin silhouette carved into the label. In Eastern culture, the carp is an animal appreciated and esteemed for its beauty, but above all because it symbolises perseverance and good fortune. Always on the move, it is among the fish with the most energy and strength, so much so that it is able to swim against the current. Printing on Digital press Xeikon Finishing with screen printing, lamination, removal and die cutting.

      The in-line flat stamping tool is one innovative solution: made in brass or magnesium, it makes possible to obtain up to five different effects in one single printing operation (hot printing, blind embossing, debossing, texture and anti-counterfeiting holograms), without changing stamping tools. In-line flat stamping tools are compatible with Rhino modules by PANTEC, Big Foot by ABG, CARTES and Codimag. The use of one single tool not only ensures quick processing but also grants an extremely high precision and quality because it is no longer necessary to fine-tune the register between one operation and the next – all for perfect printing results.
