The main priority of Packaging Première, in its continuous and careful assessment of the situation, is the well-being, health and safety of its employees, visitors and exhibitors.

Packaging Première reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the industry has this valuable opportunity to gather and reignite business opportunities as the world emerges from the Coronavirus pandemic.

The health and safety of our attendees and all staff is of paramount importance when running face to face events, and we are working hard with the venue and relevant industry bodies to ensure that you have absolute peace of mind whilst being able to experience the event and see the latest products in a safe and sound environment.

As such, we have put in place a comprehensive series of steps to ensure we provide a safe and successful event for all involved. We ask you to please read and follow the guidance below to prepare you for your visit to the event and to safeguard the health and safety of both yourself and those around you.

Verifying Covid-19 Status

In line with latest government guidance and the Association of Event Organisers, Packaging Première will verify attendee COVID-19 status on arrival at the event.

All attendees will need to demonstrate proof of COVID-19 status for entry to the event. This will need to be one of the following:

  • Proof of completion of one dose of vaccination 14 days prior to arrival (Pfizer, moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen). Proof is shown via the EU Digital COVID Certificate (or overseas equivalent).
  • Proof of a negative rapid Antigen or PCR test result taken within 48hrs of arrival. It must be carried out by health professionals or by trained personnel who certify the type, the date on which it was carried out and the result and transmit the data through the Health Card System to the national platform-DGC for the issuance of the Certification.
  • Proof of recovery shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, taken up to 180 days prior to arrival. The positive test result must have been received at least 11 days or more ago.

Comprehensive cleaning and disinfection protocols

All surfaces at Packaging Première are treated with hospital-grade disinfectants. The most frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected at regular intervals. Electrostatic spraying technology ensures the highest standards of hygiene.

Hand hygiene

Hand sanitiser stations will be available everywhere on the exhibition floor and in common areas. Please make use of them regurarly during the day!

Smart Badge contactless technology

The safest way to visit an event is through the use of our Smart Badge, which requires no physical contact and guarantees a 100% safe event experience. Thanks to the embedded NFC chip you can use your badge throughout the event to gather product and stand information with a swipe of your badge. At the end of the day you receive all collected information via email.

Personal protection & detection

Temperature screenings

Temperature screenings before you enter the event will tell us if you have a temperature of 37,5° or above. If this is the case, take a seat in the designated area for ten minutes and we will measure your temperature again. If on a second screening your temperature has fallen below 37,5°, no problem, welcome! If your temperature is still above 37,5°, we will be unable to grant you admission. We recommend that you check your temperature before leaving home as a precaution and to avoid any inconvenience.

Face masks

It’s compulsory to wear a face mask upon entering Packaging Première. We encourage you to bring your own, but event staff will be on hand to provide one if you forget!

Plexiglass shields

Plexiglass shields will be installed at registration desks, information points, catering points and  counters staffed by team members where necessary throughout the event floor.

Physical distancing

Crowd density standards

To ensure appropriate physical distancing during Packaging Première we will control the number of people present in the event hall at all times, in accordance with local guidance. For this reason it is compulsory to use the exit gate indicated by appropriate signs. The entrance gate cannot be used to exit the pavilion at any time.

Social distancing and crowd management

We kindly request that you maintain a distance of at least 1,5 meters from other people. Clear signage and floor stickers will help you respect this distance.

Online registration and touchless scanning

Please register online before the event, as registration onsite is not possible. You can either print out your admission voucher, which has a barcode, or bring it on your mobile device. You will then be able to scan the barcode at one of our touchless scanning stations. If you register more than 6 weeks prior to the event, you will more than likely receive  your badge in the post saving you time and eliminating overcrowding at registration.

Registration timeslot

We will make it convenient for you to register for a specific timeslot so that we can ensure compliance with crowd density standards, while saving you time. You can amend the time slot you selected when registering, by using your registration key that you will find in your confirmation email.

Directional walkways

At Packaging Première we have implemented directional walkways.

On paths there is enough room for people to walk in both directions, please keep to your side as indicated by the directional arrows.

Maximum capacity in conference rooms

Conference areas will also allow for social distancing, with 1,5 meters between chairs. This means there will be limited capacity, so please arrive on time. Some chairs may be marked as unavailable. Please respect this instruction and do not move the chairs.

Stay home if you feel ill

Finally, as much as we want to see you at Packaging Première, we kindly ask you to respect everyone’s health and safety. If you feel at all ill – including mild cold symptoms or a high temperature – please stay at home.

Thank you for observing these rules – stay safe and we hope to see you in May!
