Cergi is a manufacturing company that has been producing customized and tailor-made flexible packaging for over 60 years. The company manages all key flexible packaging production processes in-house, from extrusion to printing, from simple heat sealing to the application of various closures and hooks. Founded in 1858 in the Vosges region, Papeteries de Clairefontaine is deeply rooted in a rich industrial and papermaking tradition. Located on the banks of the Meurthe River, the plant occupies a 40-hectare site equipped with two 3.40-meter-wide paper machines that produce 180,000 tons of uncoated, FSC- and PEFC-certified paper each year, all of which is exclusively high-end. Together with Papeterie de Mandeure, Everbal, and Schut, Papeteries de Clairefontaine forms one of the four production units of the Exacompta Clairefontaine group, which employs more than 3,200 people today. Papeteries de Clairefontaine’s papers and boards are designed for packaging solutions and targeted graphic applications in sectors such as cosmetics, electronics, pharmaceuticals and food. Papeteries de Clairefontaine has established itself as an expert in the production of recycled paper, implementing an eco-responsible process across every step of production. In collaboration with its subsidiary Everbal, which specializes in 100% recycled paper, Clairefontaine maintains meticulous quality control at each stage to ensure consistent, optimal standards. Today, Papeteries de Clairefontaine is a leading player in the recycled paper market, continuing to invest daily in sustainable initiatives. This commitment includes substantial investments in biomass boilers for both Everbal and Clairefontaine, with a new biomass boiler at Étival-Clairefontaine expected to reduce annual gas consumption by 45%.
