Packaging Première and PCD Milan: a conference programme with a strong commitment to innovation

Packaging Première and PCD Milan – the event showcasing the best packaging producers for fashion, jewellery, beauty, fine food, wine & spirits – is preparing an edition with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and creativity.

Scheduled from 16 to 18 May 2023 at Fieramilanocity, it will present the most important product innovations in the luxury packaging sector and will devote special attention to the latest trends in the sector, through in-depth discussions, talks and conferences.

“Packaging Première & PCD Milan are committed to spreading a true packaging culture, and for this reason we are collaborating with the world’s leading experts in packaging, design and sustainability to give our community the opportunity to explore the most important and relevant topics,” says Pier Paolo Ponchia, Founder and Director of Packaging Première.

The conference programme will follow a specific focus: innovation, sustainability, technology, digitisation, packaging design and branding, applied in particular to the beauty, fashion, wine & spirits, jewellery and many other sectors.

Each day will see prominent Italian and international speakers and guests talking about how innovation and sustainability contribute to building a brand, the role of paper – a versatile material that has become the main attraction for beauty brands, how augmented reality can give a modern image to more traditional products, the metaverse, the experience of quality delivery, digital printing, how the cosmetics and packaging supply chain work together to achieve the goals of Agenda 2030, the role of storytelling, contemporary as a marketing driver, and finally how art, design and craftsmanship represent the added value, which emphasises luxury and exclusivity, through the olfactory experience.

The three-day event includes a rich programme that will bring on stage important speakers such as Evelio Mattos, Eva Lagarde, Francesco Poroli, Adriano Attus. Added value will be given by the presence of outstanding brands such as Culti Milano, Lamborghini, Leonori Gioielli, La Perla Beauty, San Marzano Wines and the participation of companies such as Beautystreams, Cosaporto and Positive Luxury, to name but a few. All the conferences in English will offer the public the possibility of simultaneous translation.

In the conference hall, extensive attention will also be given to the Avant-Garde initiative, which directly involves the exhibitors, inviting them to create products, services or projects recognised as worthy in terms of innovation in the packaging sector. The projects selected by the jury – made up of university professors, designers and experts in the sector – will be exhibited in a dedicated area and presented within specific workshops with a format in which each participant will have five minutes to present their innovation.

The registration, which is mandatory to access to the event – reserved to professionals – is available at the following link.
