The BlueDust project: the big news of Mainetti Italia’s S/S 25 season will be presented at Avant-Garde 2024

BlueDust re-circulates old pre-consumer jeans or processing waste transformed into flock powder ready for a second life and highly original solutions.

BlueDust consists of three phases: collection (recover), pulverisation (pulverise) and regeneration (recreate).

The pulverised denim is used as an ink and the logo is screen-printed on almost all products: boxes, shoppers, labels and tags. All in natural Havana paper, enlivened by the flock print in denim blue.

Line 85  – for hangers, flexible paper and fabric packaging, labels and tags –  well expresses the circularity of the process. In this rebirth operation, all customers are called upon and involved, who by donating processing waste and old jeans participate in the realization of a virtuous and sustainable circle.

Blue Dust is a declaration of intent for the future of the planet. Every jean, every scrap turned into a new object, takes a step forward in establishing a circular economy that values our past, reduces waste, and creates a sustainable future.

Mainetti’s project has been selected by the jury for the Sustainability category and will be exhibited in the Avant-Garde dedicated area at Packaging Première & PCD Milan 2024.
