The yarn used to create the LABìO product range, exclusively conceived by Nastrificio di Cassano, has a botanical nature and derives only from certified sustainable sources.
The raw material used comes from non-controversial sources and from suppliers who participate in forest certification programs, such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC ®) and the Pan European Forest Certification (PEFC).
A process is followed that reduces the environmental impact thanks to the reduction of waste and the choice of suppliers close to the production areas.
The yarn processing is closed cycle and recovers more than 99% of the necessary solvent which is then repeatedly reused in the process.
The same principle is used for water, a fundamental resource for our planet, the consumption of which is considerably reduced compared to the production of cotton, for example, which requires an enormous quantity of water.
From an energy point of view, energy from renewable sources is used as a universal substitute for other energies which are subject to increasingly harsh criticism due to their strong environmental impact, such as oil for example.
LABìO is made in Italy by resinating the fabric with GOTS certified resins or compostable resins.
