Grafiche Paciotti’s luxury box made of production waste, at Avant-Garde 2023

Grafiche Paciotti brings to Avant-Garde PRIMABOX, box made from recycled paper from production waste

This box was entirely developed with PRIMA, our 100% recycled paper from the production waste of our company. Thanks to the collaboration with a major paper manufacturer in Umbria, we were able to produce a paper with a very low environmental impact (-40% CO2 impact compared to ordinary recycled paper), which we used for this patent-pending project.

Each component of the box was made by doubling the thickness of the paper; this processing gives to the box an excellent strength and stability without any cardboard core common to coated boxes. The closing mechanism allows the product a flat shipping for space-saving and logistical optimisation. PRIMABOX can be completely recycled in the paper collection as the self-adhesive sheets, used for fixing the side walls to the supporting structure, are paper-based.

This project is part of the larger EARTHBACK initiative which was created with the aim of optimising, monitoring and concretely reducing the impact generated by our activities on the environment around us. All the specifications of this product are gathered in an ID card that can be accessed via a printed qr-code. Within our EARTHBACK ID we automatically calculate the sustainability score and the impact in terms of CO2 emitted for each product we produce. Find out more at earthback.eco.
