Packaging Première presents the first edition of Packaging Woman of Italy 2026
Packaging Première Milan is pleased to announce the inaugural edition of Packaging Woman of Italy, the initiative celebrating the contribution of women to the packaging world, in partnership with NVC Packaging Centre. In this journey, they draw partial inspiration from the SAGE movement (Sustainable Ageing), which advocates for a society that ages sustainably. Both from a quantitative perspective (the imminent shortage of qualified professionals in the packaging sector) and a qualitative one (high-quality decision-making requires an equivalent influence of women and men), Packaging Woman of Italy aims to be a source of inspiration for men and women, boys and girls, across both current and future generations. The project was created to highlight the expertise, creativity, strategic vision, and leadership of the women who drive innovation in the sector.
Inspired by the international Packaging Woman Netherlands model, Packaging Woman of Italy highlights Italian excellence in packaging and design, providing a platform for international visibility and a network of female leadership.
Our goal
With Packaging Woman of Italy, we aim to recognize women who make a significant impact in the packaging sector, promoting sustainability and responsibility, while also providing a role model for the next generations of female.
How does the appointment of the Packaging Woman of Italy take place?
A new Packaging Woman is appointed every year, starting at Packaging Première Milano Any female with the Italian nationality and/or employed by a business entity based in Italy or San Marino, working in a packaging function for at least one year can apply or can be nominated. Candidates are assessed by a committee of high-level female professionals. Every year, the new Packaging Woman joins this Committee in the run-up to the appointment of the next Packaging Woman.
The deadline for submitting nominations is 28 April 2026 at 8:30 AM CET.
Who we are looking for?
A Packaging Woman of Italy is a professional in the packaging sector, working in companies, design agencies, converters, technology, materials, sustainability, or retail.
A professional who:
- works in Italy, regardless of Italian citizenship,
- holds a decision-making or managerial role,
- contributes to the development of her company’s business sector,
- is available to represent the award and Packaging Première Milan for one year.
Packaging Woman of Italy
The Packaging Woman of Italy 2026 is the person who, in the year following her appointment, can and wishes to contribute to the development of female professionalism in packaging in Italy and beyond. She defines her own agenda and is supported, wherever she wishes, by the staff of Packaging Première Milan and NVC Packaging Centre.
NVC Packaging Centre supports her by granting free access to all activities of the NVC association, the CPP Packaging Courses Program, as well as NVC courses and workshops. Packaging Première Milan provides her with a platform and visibility during the show. Additionally, Packaging Première Milan offers access to all European packaging fairs organized by Easyfairs. If she wishes, Packaging Première Milan and NVC Packaging Centre can publicly support her through mailings or posts on professional social networks.

When will the Packaging Woman of Italy 2026 be appointed?
The nomination of the Packaging Woman of Italy 2026 will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM CET during Packaging Première Milan.
