The sides of the moon – by Abaton for Avant-Garde 2026
The bottles play with light and shadow: one side white, one side black, with tactile relief that makes the experience olfactory, visual, and sensory. The porous resin caps absorb the fragrance, becoming mini diffusers: Luminous Darkness, white with gray and black veins; Moonlight Shadow, dark with bright reflections; Fruit of the Moon, white with vibrant colors.
The side gradients symbolize the balance between light and shadow. The porous paper label is printed in CMYK, with silver foil and protective UV coating. The outer packaging, a black-and-white rigid box with diagonal opening and foam insert, evokes a small spacecraft that holds the moon: the scent of the moon.
Abaton’s project was selected by the jury for the Design category and will be showcased in the dedicated Avant-Garde area at Packaging Première 2026.
