MATER by Piantami for Avant-Garde 2026
A packaging that grows, regenerates, gives back.
Mater is a project that redefines the meaning of a label, turning it into an active element within a virtuous cycle where packaging generates new life.
Every component of the bottle, from cork to glass, is recyclable and designed with respect for the environment. At the heart of the project is the label, made of Piantami®, a recycled and biodegradable paper containing real seeds. Once planted and watered, the paper naturally decomposes and the seeds sprout, giving rise to new plant life.
Colour also comes from a conscious choice: a natural pigment derived from Aglianico grapes, beetroot and cardamom, leaving a material and essential trace on the paper.
Mater embodies sustainability through action. It gives nature back and invites a simple, poetic gesture: planting what remains, turning the consumer into an active part of a regeneration process.
Piantami’s project was selected by the jury for the Sustainability category and will be showcased in the dedicated Avant-Garde area at Packaging Première 2026.
