Founded more than 40 years ago, Panama Trimmings has been focusing on sustainable products during the last 15 years with the goal of answering to the increasing demand of a market strongly requesting for green labels and trims.
Viridis® was born from the desire of Panama Trimmings to innovate with new materials for a greener future. It is common to name sustainable any material that is not from animal origin, but it is not necessarily true that materials that do not contain substances of animal origin are eco friendly.
Viridis® was developed to meet the growing demand for concrete ecological alternatives to leather. Viridis® is an innovative bio-based material, obtained from corn, wheat and viscose, reaching 69% bio content, as certified by USDA. Initially developed to meet the demands of sustainable labels for clothing, Viridis® is now recognized as a raw material for the production of accessories such as cases, bags, shoes, belts.
