The future of packaging at Packaging Première and PCD Milan 2023 with the Avant Garde project

A jury of international experts has selected the most innovative packaging projects in the luxury goods industry
Packaging Première and PCD Milan, the event dedicated to the excellence of deluxe packaging for fashion, jewellery, beauty, fine food, wine & spirits – scheduled from 16 to 18 May 2023 at Fieramilanocityis pursuing its mission: to present the best packaging manufacturers, anticipate trends and delve into the most interesting contents through talks, conferences and special initiatives.   “We launched the Avant Garde project to give voice to our exhibitors, inviting them to develop products or services that are remarkable in terms of innovation and sustainability, an essential element,” emphasises Pier Paolo Ponchia, Founder and Director of Packaging Première. “A jury made up of international experts, academics and designers has selected the most interesting proposals based on technological development, digitisation, design and the most effective brand value.”

The projects selected
The products and packaging solutions selected by the jury for entering Avant-Garde 2023 were created by: Advision in collaboration with UPM Raflatac e Luxoro, Arti Grafiche Paciotti, CO&IN, D’Auria, Fedrigoni Paper, Fedrigoni Self-Adhesive, Fontana Grafica, Furlanis, FVL, Gruppo Cordenons, Hazen, Idp, Inca, James Cropper, Overkart, Plastigraf Trevigiana, Robilant, Rotas, Stelmar, Tapì, The Good Idea, Valtenna.
Avant-Garde jury
The jury for the 2023 edition include: Evelio Mattos, founder of the podcast Packaging Unboxd, Creative Director Packaging at IDPDirect. com; Laura Moretti, Creative Director of Studio Moretti and lecturer at Istituto Europeo di Design IED Florence; Laura Scafetta, Marketing Manager of Banfi Toscana; Nicola Pavesi, CEO of Publifarm – Pure Creative Agency, Professor at LUISS Business School and lecturer at ISMM – Ca’ Foscari Challenge School; Paolo Proserpio, photographer, art director and lecturer at IED Milan; Patrizia Carella, Senior Graphic designer at Missoni; Stefano Torregrossa, founder and creative director of O,nice! Design Studio, art director of Print Lovers and lecturer at the Master in Publishing at the University of Verona and at the Design Palladio Institute; Federica Brumen, sustainability, eco-design and corporate relations expert within Comieco’s Research and Development area; The products and services selected by the jury will be officially presented during Packaging Première & PCD Milan 2023 within a customized exhibition space, where each project will be supported by a brief explanation.
