REKRILL® TurnBar – Biosourced rods for turning applications
Among the innovations presented at the fair, Krill Design introduces REKRILL® TurnBar, a new generation of biosourced rods specifically engineered for turning processes, representing a significant innovation within the market.
The currently available formulation features 80% bio-based content, combining bioresin with recycled vegetal fibers, and has been developed to ensure material homogeneity, dimensional stability and controlled behavior during machining. These characteristics make the material fully compatible with conventional turning equipment, without requiring changes to existing production processes.
REKRILL® TurnBar has already been successfully used to manufacture turned caps, demonstrating its suitability for high-quality and high-value packaging applications where surface finish, precision and repeatability are key.
In addition to the current formulation, three new variants are coming soon:
– two REKRILL® 100% formulations, differentiated by stiffness to address different technical requirements;
– one 60% bio-based formulation, incorporating 15% vegetal fibers and recycled acetate, a material traditionally difficult to recycle, now re-engineered into a functional and processable solution.
REKRILL® TurnBar expands the application potential of biosourced and circular materials into precision machining, bridging sustainability and industrial performance.
