This connection has given rise to the
two-layer printed packaging,
one layer of cotton paper and the other of wood.
The outline of the aeroplane has been
modelled on the original shape of the
famous wooden aeroplane in which
Gabriele D’Annunzio made his flight over
Vienna on 9 August 1918, also known
as the ‘mad flight’. The flight over
this route has been imagined as
taking place over the current estate. Indeed,
to complete the design, beneath
the outline of the aeroplane,
views of the vineyard seen from above
have been depicted, as if in flight.
