At PCD Paris, Krill Design presents a new biological material designed for small batch production and prototyping
Milan, 3rd February 2026 - Krill Design debuts at PCD Paris (Discovery Zone, stand DZ-9) presenting an exclusive preview: a new bar made from an innovative material, designed specifically for turning and milling. The new formulation represents a significant step forward compared to the alternatives currently available on the market, thanks to its balance between technical performance and environmental sustainability.
Composed of 80% organic material, the bar is made from a combination of bio-resin and recycled plant fibres. The new product combines high performance, high dimensional accuracy and excellent mechanical and chemical properties. All this gives it mechanical strength, dimensional stability and accurate workability, paving the way for new applications in design and industrial production.
Krill Design, which has always been a pioneer in the development of sustainable materials for circular industrial supply chains, continues its research into solutions with high technical content and low environmental impact.
In line with this mission, the company is already developing additional formulations. Two in REKRILL® 100% bio differentiated by level of rigidity and one at 60% bio, with 15% vegetable fibre and recycled acetate designed to enhance and give new life to a material that, in other industrial contexts, would be difficult to recycle, thus introducing a more circular approach.
The official presentation of the new biological material will take place during the PCD Paris trade fair (5 th – 6 th February 2026, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, stand DZ-9), the leading European event dedicated to innovation in packaging and materials for cosmetics and personal care.
