Sealester Tech - Sealester Sealing
To make production cost-effective, traditional welding methods (heat bars, impulse, ultrasound) typically require millions of packaging units. But what if you want to think outside the box? The First Step: Prototyping. Before creating specific tooling, it’s crucial to finalize the desired shape. Sealester has THE solution! With its innovative welding process based on digital welding technology, Sealester enables the creation of customized flexible packaging in mini and small series, with no additional tooling costs. How Does It Work? A mobile welding tool follows a trajectory defined by the operator, applying precise pressure to the films being welded. Want to change the shape? Nothing could be simpler: just update the tool’s movement program. This technology is integrated into a standalone machine designed specifically for producing prototypes. It allows designers and users to validate their concepts before launching mass production. What About Settings? Welding parameter adjustments are fully optimized thanks to a digital algorithm. It automatically calculates the ideal parameters for a perfect weld. The result? Reduced setup times, no longer reliant on the operator’s experience, but on precise, instantaneous scientific calculations. What About Eco-Friendly Films? No limits! Eco-friendly films, whether mono-material, recyclable, or compostable, are fully compatible with DigiShape technology. Just like traditional complex polymer films, these new materials can be welded with the same precision and efficiency. Sealester supports the transition to more sustainable packaging without compromising on quality or creativity.
Sealester TecH - DigiPlus
A technological brick to induce more flexibility into traditional shaping machines! DigiPlus is module including the digital welding technology developed by Sealester and can be integrated into flexible packaging production machines, in order to provide them with flexibility in the form of welding or cutting of the packaging, without the need specific tools. Indeed, on traditional machines (heating bars, impulse, ultrasonic), each sealing or cutting shape is equivalent to a specific tool. Therefore, to be profitable, a significant number of packaging must be carried out, thus increasing the minimum order quantity (MOQ). Thanks to DigiPlus, the MOQ of pouches with special seals can be reduced. It is then possible to produce a range of packages with a low MOQ (for example 5000) while being profitable.
