TERRA D'ALIGI Pecorino
TERRA D'ALIGI: Abruzzo in a word. To celebrate their attachment to their roots, the Spinelli family chose a reference to the shepherd ALIGI, the protagonist of “La Figlia di Iorio,” the famous three-act tragedy by Gabriele D'Annunzio, the eternal poet of Abruzzo. The design combines modernity, sophistication, and naturalness, highlighting the natural elements of the Abruzzo region—such as its mountains, fruit trees, and history—represented by the tholos hut in the brand logo, which was once used by shepherds and farmers. Label on Label: The design features a minimalist, clean style with a strong emphasis on typography. The company name often serves as the visual focal point, accompanied by graphics that evoke the biodiversity of the Santa Cristina Gela estates. To convey a premium look, the label often incorporates techniques such as embossing or glossy details on matte paper, which add a tactile dimension to the product. The overall design conveys a sense of “artisanal purity.” The choice of high-quality materials and a minimalist design serves to emphasize that the product is an organic product of excellence, minimizing visual “clutter” to let the quality of the Sicilian oil speak for itself. CANTINA TOLLO MO Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva
Label on Label: Mo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva from Cantina Tollo tells its story in silence, with the elegance of a deep blue that sinks into the night and a faint leaf that reveals itself slowly, like a secret whispered by the earth. The leaf, printed on double blue-on-blue paper, reveals itself delicately—a distinctive mark designed for those who know how to capture the essence. Every detail of its packaging is an invitation to listen: a wine that embodies the power of time, the subtle contrast between shadow and light, the golden line flowing through the heart of the leaf like a pulsing vein of life. CASTELFALFI SPIRITS
Label on label, Each spirit in the range has a signature color; for the Vermouth, the design is crafted to complement the amber hues of the liquid inside the bottle, emphasizing its transparency and shimmer. The label uses advanced printing techniques that create a play of relief and depth, making it almost like a sculpture applied to the glass. Although the design is modern, it evokes the timeless elegance of Tuscany. Special papers and finishes (such as foils or thick screen-printed varnishes) were used to enhance the tactile experience as well as the visual one. BAGLIO DI PIANETTO "ERA" Passito
The desire to stand out is inevitably reflected in the ‘appearance’ of this passito, with its exemplary delicacy. Indeed, the illustration adorning the label celebrates an extremely rare flower that grows only in the Baglio di Pianetto area (on less than one hectare of Monte Pizzuta, the highest peak in the Piana degli Albanesi range): the viola ucrina. The distinctive shape of the glass bottle, meanwhile, is intended to evoke the most elegant French perfumeries and the alchemy of beauty: it is an invitation to take one’s time. The stopper, also made of glass, ensures the wine is perfectly preserved and allows the packaging to be reused. In the Arbëresh language, ‘Êra’ means wind, breath, aroma. MARINA PALUSCI ALCHIMIA
Laminated labels: The label consists of two layers: an upper layer, made of greaseproof paper, with small olive-shaped perforations that reveal the lower layer of screen-printed PVC. Inside, various stylised white images compose a true narrative of olive production: from the tree to the emergence of the inflorescence, from the ripe fruit to the harvest, right up to the woman depicted in the final opening, who represents the anticipation of the conclusion of the cycle. CAVIALE BELLAVISTA TERRA MORETTI
The characteristics of this natural and sustainable farm form the basis for packaging that highlights its virtuous circularity through an aesthetic minimalism that reflects the product itself. Bellavista Caviar is an Italian caviar produced from sturgeon reared in a semi-wild environment within spring-fed waterways surrounded by nature. The label features a circular design of glossy, embossed eggs, echoing the product inside the packaging. The packaging conveys the essential through the shape and elegance of the black spheres, combined with a bronze-coloured finish adopted as an unusual colour scheme for this type of product. The final detail on the packaging is a perforated seal of guarantee attached beneath the main label, which allows the box to remain neat after opening. SAN CLEMENTE Montepulciano Cantina ZACCAGNINI
The San Clemente wines from Cantina Zaccagnini (Argea Group) are a journey through past and present. Inspired by the medieval portal of the Abbey of San Clemente in Casauria, this label celebrates memory and materiality in every detail, through technique, tactility, and elegance. Made with double-layered white sand-colored WS cotton paper Barriera and Casablanca White WS Barriera by Fedrigoni—it offers a unique and innovative three-dimensional tactile experience. The text engraved on the background delicately preserves ancient writings, while the medieval relief decorations, inspired by the historic portal, evoke the material essence of stone and the carved geometries of a distant past. Every texture, every relief speaks of craftsmanship and history, transforming this bottle into a tangible memory to be savored with all the senses. DI SIPIO PINOT NERO
This connection has given rise to the two-layer printed packaging, one layer of cotton paper and the other of wood. The outline of the aeroplane has been modelled on the original shape of the famous wooden aeroplane in which Gabriele D’Annunzio made his flight over Vienna on 9 August 1918, also known as the ‘mad flight’. The flight over this route has been imagined as taking place over the current estate. Indeed, to complete the design, beneath the outline of the aeroplane, views of the vineyard seen from above have been depicted, as if in flight. The aim was to create modern packaging with a vintage feel, featuring visual elements that would catch the eye; to achieve this, we used two layers of paper with diagonal pink elements framed by gold lines, set against horizontal lettering, created using debossing with a black foil that gives a handcrafted and very original effect, overcoming, in a single step, the differences in height between the two sheets of paper. "Luna di Ponca" cantina Borgo Conventi (Villa Sandi)
The name was conceived during a dinner in the estate’s vineyards, by the light of the full moon. The label aims to present this encounter as a sensory journey of discovery through Ponca, the soil composed of marl and mineral-rich sandstone on which the vines are grafted, imparting to the wine all the distinctive character of its grapes. The triple layer of paper is a tribute to the richness of a unique subsoil, which is brought to light by the moon’s radiance and explains the origin of the flavour of this new, distinguished white wine, created to leave a lasting impression. For this project aimed at the Asian market, the graphic designer Mario di Paolo has designed a one-of-a-kind wine bottle. East meets West in a cultural exchange that redefines style through the choice of a legendary and sacred symbol: the carp. In a play of solids and voids, a three-dimensional carp, specially crafted in copper, follows the shape of the Tao, alternating with a twin silhouette carved into the label. In Eastern culture, the carp is an animal appreciated and esteemed for its beauty, but above all because it symbolises perseverance and good fortune. Always on the move, it is among the fish with the most energy and strength, so much so that it is able to swim against the current. ROBBER LONDON DRY GIN
In creating this gin, graphic designer Mario Di Paolo drew inspiration from the home town of the producer, located in the Italian municipality of Rapino. This prompted a play on words, as in Italian ‘Rapino’ can also be associated with ‘rapina’ (robbery), and from there to ‘rapinatore’ (robber). For the packaging, a colour scheme was chosen that is unusual in the world of gin and highly distinctive: red, which is also the colour of danger and warning signs.
