REKRILL® – by Krill Design for Avant-Garde 2026
REKRILL® is an innovative 100% bio-based biopolymer, developed and produced in Italy through the valorization of agro-industrial by-products using a patented technology. Its innovation lies in the integration of polymer matrices and natural organic components, resulting in a high-performance material that is plastic free, biodegradable in soil and water, and compostable, designed for advanced industrial applications. It can be processed with existing technologies, such as injection molding and extrusion, without requiring plant modifications, ensuring scalability and production continuity.
The use of REKRILL® reduces reliance on fossil resources and lowers carbon impact across the value chain. For companies, it represents a concrete tool for ESG compliance and competitive differentiation; for end consumers, a non-toxic, safe and traceable solution combining innovation, environmental responsibility and aesthetic quality.
Krill Design’s project was selected by the jury for the Innovative Materials category and will be showcased in the dedicated Avant-Garde area at Packaging Première 2026.
