Furlanis meets sustainability again with GOTS certification
Furlanis’ GOTS ribbons are composed of 100% organically grown cotton.
In 2019, Furlanis became the first nastrificio in the world to obtain the GOTS certificate in order to ensure responsible and sustainable development. GOTS, which stands for Global Organic Textile Standard, is the most important international standard for the sustainable production of natural fiber textile products.
Furlanis’ GOTS ribbons are composed of 100% organically grown cotton, meaning no synthetic chemical pesticides or genetically modified organisms are used. This promotes textile products that respect our environment and the fundamental social rights of workers.
In addition to the guarantee of organic farming, GOTS certification ensures, in the textile industrial manufacturing process, the use of chemicals that comply with standards based on careful verification of toxicological and eco-toxicological characteristics.
