World-leading beauty packaging event PCD to launch Milan edition in 2022 alongside Packaging Première

The launch of PCD Milan will drive innovation and new business for perfume, cosmetics and personal care packaging designers, developers and suppliers across Italy and beyond

Paris – Milan, 17 June 2021 – Leading global event organiser Easyfairs today announces the launch of a new edition of PCD, the world’s premier beauty packaging event, alongside its luxury packaging event Packaging Première in Milan on 24 – 26 May 2022.

PCD Milan will connect packaging specifiers and designers in the Italian and international perfume, cosmetics and personal care markets with many of the world’s most innovative packaging suppliers. Milan is the ideal location as it is at the heart of Italy’s Cosmetic Valley, home to more than 500 cosmetics businesses and a centre of excellence in the international perfume and cosmetic sectors.

The launch of the event builds on the dual heritage of Packaging Première and PCD, both of which are part of Easyfairs’ international network of packaging events.
Packaging Première launched in 2017 and has quickly established itself as a reference event for the luxury products sector around Milan and beyond. It brings together packaging designers and developers for luxury products across all sectors – including fashion, watches and jewellery, perfume and cosmetics, fine food, wine and spirits and more – with the leading providers of packaging materials and products in the market.

PCD first launched in Paris in 2001 and is today trusted by packaging teams at the world’s top beauty brand owners to bring packaging inspiration and innovations to their products. The event offers a unique mix of cutting-edge products and suppliers, extensive networking opportunities and inspiring talks to help drive business and innovation in the beauty packaging sector.

Pierpaolo Ponchia, the founder of Packaging Première and Managing Director of Easyfairs Italia, comments: “PCD Milan will bring an exciting new dimension to Packaging Première, with the addition of a strong focus on primary packaging for the beauty sector. The two events combined will reinforce Packaging Première’s position as the must-attend event in Italy for everyone involved in designing premium and luxury packaging.”

Josh Brooks, Event Director of PCD Paris, says: “We are very excited to bring PCD to Milan. We have seen increasing numbers of Italian visitors and exhibitors to our Paris event in recent years and running the event in Milan will allow us to serve and connect the community at a new level. Packaging Première is a wonderful event and the perfect partner for the launch of PCD Milan.”
